Designer Information
The Noguchi Table was designed by Isamu Noguchi in late 1940,s. Sculptor Isamu Noguchi's coffee table unites a curved solid wood base with a freeform 19mm toughened glass top.
This is a practical modern design heavily influenced by the delicate crafts of Japan and the Organic movement of the period creating a sturdy and durable table. This balance of sculptural form and everyday function has made the Noguchi table an understated and beautiful element in the mid-century style home and commercial environment.

A prominent Japanese-American artist and landscape architect whose artistic career spanned six decades, from the 1920s onward.
Known widely for his sculpture and public works, Noguchi also designed stage sets for various Martha Graham productions, and several mass-produced lamps and furniture pieces; some of which are still manufactured and sold today.
Among his furniture work was his collaboration with the Herman Miller company in 1948 when he joined George Nelson, Paul László and Charles Eames to produce a catalogue of what is often considered to be the most influential body of modern furniture.
