RetroEurope has designed furniture since 2006. These are some of the pieces we developed and produced over the years: a lounge chair, a Bauhaus-influenced sofa system and an enclosed alcove sofa. The common thread is simple — strong form, honest materials and practical comfort.
Lounge Chair
One of our most expressive designs: a sculptural lounge chair and ottoman combining formed wood, upholstered surfaces and a metal base. The Bauhaus influence is present in the clarity of the parts, while the form is softer and more relaxed.

The chair was designed as a complete object rather than a collection of components. The curved shell, upholstery and five-point base work together to give it a strong silhouette from every angle.

Sofa
Our sofa family was developed around a Bauhaus-inspired idea: upholstered volumes held inside a visible metal frame. The system included armchairs, two- and three-seat sofas, corner configurations and a stool.
Structure / Comfort
Soft volume.
Visible frame.
The exposed frame became the defining line of the design. It traces the outside of each piece while the upholstered body remains visually simple and generous.
Alcove Sofa
The alcove sofa takes the same Bauhaus-influenced frame language and extends it vertically. High upholstered side and back panels create a more private, enclosed place to sit, talk or work.
Privacy / Space
A room
within a room.
The higher back and side panels change the experience of the original sofa system. It becomes an architectural element — creating a defined zone without the need for walls.
From material
to finished piece.
Design was only part of the process. Material selection, leatherwork, upholstery, metal fabrication and assembly all shaped the finished furniture.
